About Me
I've always had a love of all animals and have owned and cared for several different pets. I adopted my first dog, Hoobs, a lovely rescued cross-breed over 14 years ago. He presented me with a number of challenges over the years and because of this I developed a fascination with dogs' psychology and their behaviour; this was one of the factors that inspired me to pursue a career in dog grooming.
I am a great believer in non-forceful handling because bad behaviour is generally formed from fear. Im ultra careful with sensitive dogs and will take my time grooming 'tricky' dogs in order to ensure they have a positive experience and are happy to come back.
I will never spend ages trying to groom out mats as this causes a huge amount of stress to the dog and its skin. I always adhere to the Animal Welfare Act and will refuse any clients that neglect or disregard their animals well being.
I am City & Guilds qualified to level 3 and hold a certificate in canine first aid... so you know your dog will be in safe hands.
